Challenge
We were tasked with creating a modern, workable space in a century-old building. As with all old spaces, there were several renovating Challenges: HVAC was insufficient and walls, floors and ceilings were askew —the grid was off by a foot.
Solution
Diamond Schmitt had worked to figure out custom-based desks, but the wonky grid required a fresh building approach. We brought in a millworker who created a unique stud wall system that we were able to mass-produce and then use in the space to lay walls and run electricity where necessary.
