Junior Project Manager

We are actively searching for a Junior Project Manager to complement our skills and to take on challenging and exciting projects. Exceptional communication skills with clients, architects, engineers, contractors and colleagues is key. The successful candidate will be very organized, detail oriented, meticulous and self-driven. This is a full-time position.

Job Description

• Manage all aspects of Construction Management and General Contracting for commercial interiors and new custom home construction projects
• Prepare project proposals and project estimates
• Prepare bid documents and contract administration
• Procurement and schedule management
• Negotiation, costing, risk management and quality control
• Implementation of B&V Health and Safety Policies
• Continually foresee potential issues or conflicts and propose solutions for evasive actions
• Review and understand architectural and engineering drawings and specifications
• Figure out details and best construction methods to achieve the designer’s goals
• Track project budgets, documents and progress in Viewpoint Construction Management Software
• Review of shop drawings and submittals

Expectations and Experience

• Architectural background an asset
• Minimum of 5 years of local construction management experience
• Knowledge of local codes and subtrades
• Knowledge of LEED® would be an asset
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills
• Superior customer service
• Energetic, positive and can-do attitude required
• Computer proficiency (MS Office, MS Project)
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle required
